India and Russia commence engagements on expanding collaboration in steelsector-Fastener Exhibition-The 26th China(Guangzhou)International Fastener,Spring&Wire Exhibition

India and Russia have initiated engagements in exploring expanding raw material sourcing, technologicalcollaboration, equipment manufacturing and research opportunities between the countries in the steel sector,according to official government statement on Friday, April 17.
A Russian delegation, comprising representatives from industry and related sectors, joined Indian counterpartsfor discussions. The meeting enabled constructive engagement and an exchange of views on key steel sectorissues, the statement said.
''The India-Russia Round Table was held today at the ministry of steel. The meeting was co-chaired by thesecretary to India''s steel ministry and Mikhail lurin, deputy minister of industry and trade of the Russian
Federation," the statement said
During the meeting, both sides discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and reviewed the existingengagement between the two countries. Discussions were held on broad areas concerning the steel sector andrelated industries, with a view to further strengthening cooperation, it said.
